A large crack of thunder is heard, as a black screen is seen. Slowly an image begins to appear…Rain falling from the sky, filling the ground with mud and dirty water. The camera slowly searches the area, revealing a large oak tree, with its branches and leaves sheltering a bench sitting on the side of the road. The road, which is covered with cracks and crevices deep enough to hold plants which are slowly growing from the asphalt, is beginning to fill with water and flood over, leaving no room for any vehicles. The rain gets harder and deeper as water begins to drip from the branches down on to the bench, drenching it and turning it a dark brown. More and more puddles begin to form around the muddy area, as the camera zooms in on a small puddle right on the side of the road. After a few seconds of watching the glistening water sparkle and ripple due to the falling rain, a small frog slowly jumps beside it, sticking its head down in the puddle. He continues to drink from the puddle as a bird comes down also, both animals continuing to get drenched with the rainfall. A small boy and his mother walk up to the bench and huddle underneath a small umbrella, which the mother holds high above their heads. The boy begins to shiver in his heavy rain coat as his mother takes her jacket off and shelters the boy with it, beginning to shiver herself. As the attention of the camera begins to shift back to the puddle, a large foot steps right in the middle of the puddle, causing the frog to jump away and the bird to fly away in to the tree. The waves of the water splashes up on to the pants leg of the man who stepped in it, and drenches his entire right leg, aggravating him. He wipes his leg off and steps next to the kid and his mother at the bus stop and crosses his arm, awaiting the arrival of the bus. The little boy lifts his hood up, and looks up at the man standing there beside him and smiles. He tugs on his mothers jacket and begins to ask her if he can talk to him. She says yes and the boy turns around and taps the man on his hand.
Boy
“Aren’t you Matt Sydal, From the WWE?”
The man jerks his head down at the boy, and gives him a snarling look, revealing himself to truly be Matt Sydal.
Matt Sydal
“What do you want?”
Boy
“What happened to you Matt? You used to be my favorite wrestler back in Saturday Night’s Main Event and when you first joined the WWE. Now no one likes you and you’re not that good anymore…What happened?”
Matt Sydal
“I…. I don’t…. I don’t know…”
The boy pats Matt on the arm and gives him a hug, looking up at him.
Boy
“I still believe in you Matt… Don’t give up… I’m rooting for you this Sunday.”
A large white bus pulls up at the bus stop and the boy and his mother get on the bus. The mother pays the fee and they sit down in the first seat, the boy sitting at the window. He looks out the window to Sydal and places his hand against the window. Sydal looks up, and stares at the boy as the bus starts to move away, splashing Sydal as it goes by him. Sydal looks down, with his head and body drenching from the puddle that the bus went through, covering his entire body. He shakes his head and sits down on the bench, throwing his head in to the palm of his hands, weeping. After a few seconds, he looks up, revealing several small tears falling from his face, blending in with all the rain falling from the sky. He looks straight at the camera and takes a deep breath, clearing his throat and wiping his eyes.

“March 23, 2008... The date that Matt Sydal and Johnny Magnum became friends. That night I was called up to be partners with Thomas Daniels and Roy Rowe, now known as The Roy, in the Tai Pei Enmity match against Austin Aries, Christopher Daniels, and Sam X. I lost that match, and Johnny also lost his match, which was a Four Way Dance, against John Morrison, G-Stone, and Muhammad Hassan. The first person I saw when I walked in the door was Johnny. He was sitting at a table with Roy Rowe, talking about their respective matches that night and I introduced myself. Johnny, Roy, and I hit it off just like that. We all became friends and watched each others back, backstage, until Saturday Nights Main Event finally closed down for good on December 28, 2008, where Johnny defeated his long time rival, Dirty Harry; and I defeated Shane Whelan. In between that though, Johnny and I grew up together. We matured together and everything. We even raised out families together. After shows we would hang out, with a few other people, and just have a good time. Eventually, we both developed a backstage friendship with Justin Tyger also, who trained us both. Johnny took the high road in Southland Wrestling, Tyger’s own promotion, and became the Tennessee Heavyweight Champion, while I teamed up with Tyger and got the Southland Tag Team Titles… This is where things begin to get interesting. Tyger and I developed problems and broke up as a Tag Team and finally ended our differences at Wrestlefest II, where I defeated him in an “I Quit” match. Johnny, however, took the high road once more and challenged for the Custom Championship, beating out two other opponents. He just kept rising, while it seemed like I was stuck where I was at. Johnny and I seemed fine, but honestly there was a hatred growing deep inside of me that I couldn’t stop. I became so jealous of Johnny that I began to plot against him, trying to take his Custom Championship away from him and everything. I eventually worked myself up to a title, The Tag Team Titles, with Chris Sabin and had a long run with those titles, being the last ever Tag Team Champions in SNME history, but Johnny began to fall a little bit. He had a successful feud with Santino Marella, but then lost his title to our old friend Justin Tyger.”
“That was pretty much the end of our Saturday Nights Main Event era, and we lost contact for a while, with Johnny pursuing LOE and RWF and myself raising my kids at home. However…the spotlight called for me back when Justin Tyger called me and wanted me to join NWA. I joined and had a pretty good start, gaining the X-Division Championship. Johnny was taken out in the beginning but came back, earning himself a world title shot. Somewhere in between there though, him and I had a match, where he defeated me. Granted, I wasn’t 100% but he beat me. From that point on, I have released my hatred for Johnny Magnum in to the spotlight and that has lead me to where I am today. Johnny came to the WWE and beat Justin Tyger, earning himself a match against Raven, and won the WWE championship last month at Backlash… But you see, little did he know that I was plotting to face him at Judgment Day, for the WWE championship or not. Judgment Day is where Johnny was going to be tried for his sins against me throughout the past year. However…I just went through a change of heart. When that little boy asked me what happened to me, I didn’t know what to say. I honestly don’t know what happened to me and I am here to explain myself to you, Johnny, and the entire world. You see, I attacked you two weeks ago, because I could see that look in your eyes when I congratulated you at Backlash. You had the look of, “I’m better than you… Look at me now!” I wanted you to choke on those words… I wanted to destroy every hope and dream you ever had of making it big in this industry. I honestly wanted to choke the life out of you, right then and there. However, I restrained myself and attacked you on Raw, when it was best for me. It was our own little reunion, Roy, You, and I; Just like my first day on the job, right Johnny? Except that night, I didn’t know what to do. I was the “new guy” at that table, but the night I attacked you; I knew what I had to do, or at least what I thought I had to do. Honestly, I didn’t think it through enough and I attacked you for not reason, but Roy was going to ask for the title shot and I deserved it. I panicked and attacked you, which pushed you to give me the title shot. All I had to do was ask, but I let my anger and jealousy get ahead of me.”
“…Now that I have had a change of heart, I want to tell you… that I am sorry Johnny. All these things that I have hated about you, have started within me. You did nothing to deserve the punishment I have delivered to you. All of these things revolve around me. I never should’ve laid my hands on you, just to get a title shot. I never should’ve ruined our friendship over a piece of gold. I’ve cried many times in my career Johnny, you know that! I cried when I won the Southland Tag Titles, The SNME Tag Titles, and the X-Division Title; but these tears are the most real and truthful tears I have ever shed for this business. I’ve never felt this much emotion flowing through my body, while doing a promo for a match before Johnny. We, as professional wrestlers, are trained to cry on cue and act like everything is all true, when really almost nothing is… But this match and this promo is all true. You and I grew up together, from little punk ass kids at the bottom of the food chain in SNME to headlining a f**king Pay-Per-View Johnny! Can you believe it bro, we’re finally here and its for the wrong reasons. I don’t want this match to be for the wrong reasons Johnny, I want this match to happen because we deserve it! I want this match to happen because we’ve worked our asses off to get here, and damn it everyone in that locker room knows it! Johnny, this is coming from the bottom of my heart! If you don’t think I deserve this match, then go to Stephanie McMahon right now and tell her that I want out of this match and get you another opponent. If you don’t think this match is going to happen for the right reasons, then we’ll drop it and have it another time, but I know that you know that this match was meant to happen. We we’re meant to headline our first PPV together. Judgment Day is our day of judgment. Whoever loses, loses. Whoever wins, wins. We remain friends, till the end. This is my new start… This is my Rebirthing.”
Matt begins to cry again, wiping his hands across his face, and standing to his feet. He raises his hands to the heavens and opens his eyes, allowing the rain to fall on him and metaphorically speaking, “Cleanse His Soul.” The rain slowly stops, and the dark clouds begin to move apart, revealing the bright sun. The birds from the tree above, fly down, landing around his feet and on the bench he was previously sitting on. The tree begins to sparkle, because of the sun shining down on the left over rain droplets from the shower before. He drops to his knees and begins to pray, as another bus, similar to the one before, pulls up. Sydal finishes his prayer, and slowly steps to his feet. He walks up the steps, starting to put his change in the fee bucket. The driver stops him and says this bus ride is free. Sydal smiles at the old man and sets in the first seat available. He looks out the window to the puddle that he stepped in before, to see that same frog there, this time with smaller frogs around him. Birds begin to drop down and drink from the puddle also. Matt looks at the camera.
Sydal
“Everyone deserves a second chance…”
He smiles as the bus drives away, down the road and in to the distance, leaving the camera focused on the rainbow, which is forming above the hill.
Boy
“Aren’t you Matt Sydal, From the WWE?”
The man jerks his head down at the boy, and gives him a snarling look, revealing himself to truly be Matt Sydal.
